About Your Donations
Our community’s involvement has always been critical to our mission, demonstrating a shared commitment to preserving our local environment for future generations. Your support empowers us to continue our work and inspires others to join us in our mission.
Where does the money go?
You’ve probably seen our hard-working team around town or in the bush, and this is of course the core of our work. In addition to this there’s a lot of work that goes on behind the scenes. From strategy and planning, to procurement, health and safety, communications, admin, and meeting with landowners and businesses, there’s a huge amount of work that goes into a successful and efficiently-run predator elimination programme.
Here’s a breakdown of our project costs for the next 12 months:
How much do I have to donate?
Pay what you feel – we appreciate each dollar that’s been paid towards the project.
Can I claim tax for the donation?
Yes, because Russell Landcare Trust is registered charity.
Other ways to help the project
Volunteer
Volunteers enable us to do more and expand our project faster, so we’d love to hear from you if you’d like to be involved.
Land access
On Russell peninsula most of the land is private, so by giving access to locate traps on your land, you are helping our project to achieve our goal.
Reporting
The other way to help the project is to report any rat, possum, or stoat sightings in your neighbourhood, and trappers will get on to it.
